Dan & Angi tagged me for the topic for week 7 of Blawging (AKA OKBlogsortium). SO let's see what I can come with. hmmmmm this past week I shoved a splinter up in my thumb & we can't get it out. Talk about foreign objects in your body....no. I'm home sick with nasty sinus. Talk about your last bout with icky disease.....no. I've been getting ready for Super Fantastic Gaming Hour this week. Talk about your favorite game
Ok, I know. This past week I ran into two instances of this topic. The basic idea is this: We may or may not always see the effect that our actions or inactions have on those around us.
Example 1: A young lady is unbuckled in a car & loses a leg in a crash. She starts giving positive speeches at local schools. A young man is enamored with her, falls in love, because of her witness to him gives his life to Christ, & marries the girl. He then enters the ministry & is then selected to become an associate pastor of a church of over 10,000.
Example 2: A young lady is unjustly accused of egging a car and has to do community work. Because she is gone from her job, her younger brother fills in, and meets a scientist that helps redirect the young man's view of the world. Her boyfriend, an artist, stops by, meets another girl doing community work and recognizes some great potential in graffiti that the girl has drawn. He introduces her to an art teacher and thus redeemd the girl from a sensless existance on drugs.
Granted, one of the above examples is fiction, but it helps illustrate the idea. You assignment:
Recall a time when the action/inaction of yourself or others has led, through a series of events, into having a profound effect on your life or others.
Discuss.
