Oscar the Grout (bad pun...sorry)

Well, we finished the grout. Michael came over around 7 PM and we finished at 12:45. The grout went a lot easier this time. We mixed it up a little thinner and I finally figured out how to use the grout bag. Here is a pic of the proper technique to use with a grout bag.

Here you can see the proper technique. You squeeze the back of the bag and pinch the spout (kinda like milking a cow). I figured out later that it was better to twist the back of the bag like using a cake decorator. Things really got flying with this way of squeezing grout.

Now here you can see the improper technique to get the grout out of the bag. It's hard to control the flow and you usually end up with a lot of it on the walls. So after a lot of thought (see photo) I realized what I was doing wrong I do want to take a moment to say that this photo should in no way be construed as an endorsement of any 3 initialed organization or of Robert C. We ended up drafting Jordan and Joel to move the dining room back into place. We had a little bit of excitement. Jordan hooked the water line back up to the frig but only finger tightened it and when we turned on the water, it starte dspraying all over the place. It was just like what started this whole project. We got the water turned off, the line hooked up properly and everything cleaned up. It only set us back by about 30 min.
Anyway, the floor is now done, tomorrow is the carpet (thankfully, someone else is doing that). Tomorrow I promise I'll tell you the latest on the paint, but here is a pic of the floor.
