This past weekend, we finally got around to playing Puerto Rico. This does seem to be the great game that everyone is raving about. The first game was with myself, Eldest Son and Youngest Son. Youngest Son focused on producing only indigo, I tried to vary my crops, and Eldest Son worked on corn and a few others. Eldest Son ended up winning.
The next game was myself, Youngest Son, Lovely Wife, and Black Forest (a friend of the Sons). Again I tried to diversify but sadly everyone kept using the mayor and reducing the colonists at a very fast rate before I could get my act together. Even more frustrating was that I could have won on the last round if I had selected the builder rather than the captain. Oh, well, live & learn.
