Here are some of the photos that didn't really fall into any other category. First up is the Catoosa Indian Maid. Created in plywood back in who-knows-when, this Indian Maid has been around for at least 20 years (I remember it from when I lived in Tulsa). This is the Southern exposure, the North side has had some parts fall off and both sides are missing the raised bow that she once held. Does anyone have any history on this sign?
Next up, Ann's Bakery at Harvard and 244. I was surprised to hear that Ann's 'recently opened', meaning that it must have closed somewhere down the line. I stopped in and got a couple of cookies. The sign on the front has had all of the neon removed and is only painted. I'm not sure if this sign on the south side of the bakery works.
Cruising far east of Tulsa on my way to Catoosa I came upon this weird set of houses that just screamed "we were once a motor court!" I stopped and knocked on several doors but nobody was home. I stumbled upon a website that had literally tons of motel postcards and for the life of me I can't find it now, but I was sure that it has this location along with a name. Can anybody help me identify this one?
