The Haunted Movie Theater (1980, age-19) Part 2

posted Wednesday, 17 March 2004
The Assistant Manager told us about one night when he and his brother decided to stay the night in the theater. Now keep in mind that this guy was somewhat of a blowhard and his brother wasn't much better. Here is how the story was related to me:

Dave (not the Asisstant Mgrs real name) and his brother decide to stay the night after the last show ended around midnight. They turned off all the lights in the theater and using flashlights found their seats in the middle of the theater. Nothing really happened for about an hour and then they saw a ball of light (bout the size of a basketball) come across the stage. They said the ball put off light, but they couldn't see anyone or anything that was attached or carrying this light.

Dave started getting a little scared and told his brother that they should be leaving. His brother told him to stay seated and they could find out what this was. That was when the ball of light slowly started moving up the rows of seats. It wasn't moving between the rows, it was coming straight across the tops of the rows, very slowly.

The ball of light was about ten rows away and Dave couldn't take it anymore and he ran out of the theater, hollering for his brother to follow him. As he was leaving the auditorium, he turned around and saw the light just two rows in front of his brother. Then Dave headed outside.

He waited for about a half hour for his brother to come out. Finally his brother came slowly out of the theater. Dave kept asking him what had happened. All his brother would ever say was that the ball of light came across the seats and enveloped him. Once he was surrounded by the light, it showed him things. Dave's brother also said that he would never go into that theater after midnight again.

Of course, I believed only parts of this, but then I hadn't worked between midnight and dawn....yet
