They've pushed me TOO FAR!!!

Guess what happened at the Oklahoma City Council meeting regarding the canoe law? That's right, nothing. They didn't have a meeting today. I have

1. attended two meetings of the Fish and Game board (October and November);
2.  waited through December, January, and February while they canceled each meeting (I thought they were having their meetings);
3. suffered through March when I learned that they had screwed up the law by removing the life jacket law (All I wanted was to change the length requirement);
4. waited through April for the Parks department to get everything written up and submitted to the City Council;
5. and now THIS!
   
   

Well, that's it. This week I'm getting a permit and that canoe is going onto a lake or river in the Oklahoma City limits. If they give me a permit and I can prove that it is 15 feet long (it is if you measure along the gunwale or the keel) then it's getting wet. I've tried to play by the system, I've been applauded for my efforts, I've taken almost a full day of vacation, and now I'm fed up. I'm not moving to the back of the bus, I'm standing in front of the tank, I'm paddling my canoe and nobody is gonna stop me. If the cops show up, I'll take the ticket and fight it in court. I'll strap my canoe onto my car and take it to the courthouse.

I'm a canoer, hear me roar!!!
